Small-scale Technology Certificate (STCs) Price Updates:
As of today, 10 December 2020, Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) are priced at $38.00. They are $0.20 higher compared to the previous month. Compare to last year’s pricing, which was at $37.50, there is a $0.50 increase in prices.
Large-scale Generation Certificate (LGCs) price updates:
Until the end of November 2020, Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) were at $39.00. As of writing, LGC prices are at $37.50 which is $1.50 lower compared from the previous month. There has been a downward trend in prices since October. LGC prices reached $44.50 on the 12th of October and plunged to $37.00 to date. Since December 2019, prices reached $44.40 and dropped to $28.00 by the end of February 2020. Prices surged to $50.00 by mid-September 2020 and fell back to $37.00.
Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) price updates:
Trading for Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) as of to date is at $42.00, which is $4.75 higher than the previous month’s trading price. Since December 2019, VEEC prices rose from $30.50 to $38.50 in January 2020. The demand for VEECs increased over the course of 12 months and prices stayed within the $33.00 to $37.00 price range. However, their prices fell at $33.50 in March 2020 and at $29.00 in June 2020. Regardless, VEECs prices increased and remained stable as of to date.
Energy Saving Certificates (ESCs) price update:
The current trading prices for Energy Saving Certificates (ESCs) are at $27.05 which is $0.30 lower compared to the previous month price of $26.75. ESCs prices were between $23.00 and $30.00 over the last 12 months. It reached its lowest point at $24.10 in July 2020 while it peaked at $30.20 in April 2020. Trading prices fell at two per cent (2%) during the last quarter of 2020.
