NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) has formally announced their panel of pre-approved energy services providers on Friday 24th August.

The Sustainable Government Team and corresponding panel is designed to assist NSW Government agencies make substantial energy and cost savings to meet their Government Resource Efficiency Policy (GREP) targets. Agencies can use the pre-qualified panel to quickly procure trusted energy service providers to deliver energy efficiency and renewable projects.

EcosaveAustralia’s leading independent Energy Services Company (ESCO) and Tier-1 provider of Energy Performance Contracting services – is among the chosen few to feature on this exclusive panel.

I am very pleased that Ecosave has been able to continue its association with NSW OEH, which has been the case now for a number of years under various other pre-approved panels and programs.

– said Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Ecosave Australia & New Zealand, Robin Archibald.

Only a select number of service providers have been pre-approved following a rigorous application and vetting process by NSW OEH earlier this year.

The panel comprises four categories of pre-approved service providers available to NSW Government agencies, including:

  1.  Energy Performance Contracting (turn-key solution with performance guarantees)
  2. Energy Design and Implementation Services (turn-key solution without performance guarantees)
  3. Lighting and Lighting Controls
  4. Solar PV and Battery Storage

Group Managing Director of Ecosave Australia & New Zealand, John Harriott, believes the announcement further strengthens Ecosave’s credentials and competitive advantage.

To be listed on this exclusive NSW OEH panel adds to our growing list of trusted third-party endorsements of Ecosave’s capability to work with Government organisations and assist them achieve their sustainability and energy efficiency targets.

– said Mr. Harriott.

In addition to the newly announced NSW OEH panel, Ecosave is also a pre-qualified ESCO under various programs and panels in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia State Governments as well as an accredited provider on Procurement Australia.

These outcomes are in my view, a clear recognition of Ecosave’s experience, expertise and strong track record of success in working with government organisations over the last 16 years.

– said Mr. Harriott.

Under the new NSW OEH panel, Ecosave is the only pre-approved ESCO to have qualified for three out of four categories, including: Energy Performance Contracting, Energy Design and Implementation Services and Lighting and Lighting Controls.

No other ESCO in this exclusive panel, comprising a total of 17 service providers, have qualified for more than two categories.

Being the only ESCO to have been pre-approved under more service categories than all our competitors, is a major win for Ecosave. – said Mr. Harriott

When asked about missing out on the Solar PV and Battery Storage category and what that would mean for Ecosave, John Harriott seemed very optimistic:

Given our representation across three out of four categories, including Energy Performance Contracting and Energy Design and Implementation services, we are still able to provide Solar PV as part of a holistic solution combined with other energy conservation measures. Ecosave is well positioned to assist Government clients seeking to achieve their GREP targets through larger scale turn-key projects that include Solar PV among other ECMs.

– said Mr. Harriott.

Ecosave’s experience in Energy Performance Contracting for government organisations is immense, with over $35 million in projects implemented to date across local government, education, health and emergency services sectors in NSW, VIC and QLD.

Ecosave are specialists at implementing performance-based energy services and have done so for well over a decade. Noteworthy government clients in NSW that have worked with Ecosave include: NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, NSW Department of Education, NSW Fire & Rescue, TAFE NSW, City of Sydney and North Sydney Council.

The Ecosave team, myself included, are very much looking forward to assisting more NSW-based government organisations meet their sustainability targets through this panel.

– said John Harriott.
